We are accepting applications for the 2012-2013 school year for the following classes: 1 , 2, 3, 4, 5/6  grades, Kindergarten, Nursery, and our Parent-Child Programs.

We find it helpful for parents to understand the steps of the WSL enrollment process below.

Step 1:  Read our information packet
To receive an information packet, contact the admissions office at (502) 327-0122 or admissions@waldorflouisville.com .  Please include your phone number, complete mailing address, the ages and birth dates of your children and your email address.

Step 2:  Attend an Orientation Tour

An orientation tour is required prior to applying for admission to the Waldorf School of Louisville. Tours are held several times a year and include an introduction to Waldorf educational philosophy; descriptions of the programs offered by our school; visits to classes; admissions criteria; enrollment procedures, and a question and answer sessions.  Call (502) 327-0122 or go to www.waldorflouisville.com for tour dates and reservations.

Step 3:  Read our Parent Handbook and Submit an On-line Application via TADS

After the tour, you will know much more about what you can expect from the school and you will receive a parent handbook which helps you to understand more about being a parent at WSL.   Once you have read the handbook, the following link will take you to the WSL online application. After completing your online application, please send a recent photograph of your child to admissions@waldorflouisville.com.

Once completed, the formal admission process begins.

Step 4: Assessing your Child’s Readiness

After review of your application, a faculty member will contact you to arrange an assessment of your child’s developmental readiness for the program to which you are applying.  (This step does not apply to the parent-child program.)

Step 5: Parent Classroom Observations & Child Visits

WSL will then schedule a time for you to observe in the classroom without your child.  Upon completion of your observation, the next step depends upon the program:

For grade school applicants, we will arrange for your child to visit the class for two consecutive days;

For early childhood applicants, the nursery or kindergarten teacher processing your application will arrange to meet your child and schedule a classroom visit;

For parent-child applicants, the Admissions Office will arrange your program visit.

Step 6:  Discussion & Feedback

WSL will contact you to discuss the visits and gather any additional information that may be needed. The faculty member processing your application will communicate to you whether or not your application will move forward and the Enrollment Director will follow up with you regarding next steps.

Step 7:  Offer of Enrollment

Upon acceptance, you will be emailed a link to enroll electronically via the TADS system.  At the time of enrollment, payment of the tuition deposit for each child  and the family registration fee is due. The deposit is non-refundable and is applied to your tuition billing.  You are now ready to complete your registration.

Step 8:  Tuition Assistance (when applicable)

You may begin a Tuition Assistance (TA) application at any point in the process above via the TADS link on our website.  If you have apply for  TA, your deposit payment will be deferred and your enrollment will be on hold until the TA application is complete and the TA award has been offered and accepted.    It is highly recommended that you apply for TA early in the process.  Once notified of your TA award by letter, you will have seven days to accept your award and pay your deposit.  After payment is received , you are ready to complete your registration.
