New Administrative Employees

We are pleased to announce Madyson Haskins has accepted the position of Development and Volunteer Coordinator. Coming from a diverse background, Madyson graduated high school from Shekou International School in China, then received her B.A. in International Relations from Hendrix College. She has done Development work for Habitat for Humanity, Rachna Strei in Cambodia, Heifer International, and most recently, Washington International School located in Washington, D.C.

In addition to her Development experience, she brings with her a passion for non-profits and volunteerism that is in evidence in her personal and professional life. She is very excited about getting to know our faculty and families, as well as ways to develop relationships and connections outside our school community.

WSL Alumni Chloe Erwin is our new Administrative Assistant. Her years of Admin experience and enthusiasm for WSL are a welcome addition to our team.

Please join us in welcoming them to the Administrative faculty!

New Kindergarten Lead Teacher

We are excited to announce our new Lead Kindergarten teacher! Jennifer Sparks will join our Early Childhood faculty in the Fall of 2021. Jennifer held multiple roles at WSL as a Kindergarten teacher, administrator, and Grades Teacher.

Jennifer Sparks

She is deeply committed to Waldorf philosophy and brings a wealth of experience and specialized training in movement and educational support. Currently, she is teaching at the Summerfield Waldorf School and Farm in California. She and her family recently made the decision to return to Louisville and her roots at the Waldorf School of Louisville. Both of her children are WSL alumni. She is thrilled to be working again with young children and laying a foundation for healthy movement and learning. Our Early Childhood faculty are planning a Zoom meet and greet in April so parents can introduce themselves and their children. We are grateful and looking forward to this new chapter.
