This event will include brief presentations from staff, as well as campus tours with opportunities for Q&A with faculty members. Winter Spiral
On December 9, Waldorf School of Louisville will hold its annual Winter Spiral. This tradition is the practice of each Waldorf student walking a circle made of evergreen boughs. Met in the middle by a teacher, each child then places a lit candle to the spiral, so that at the ceremony’s end, the once-dark circle becomes fully illuminated. It offers a reminder of the reliable turning of the sun from weakness to strength each year at the Winter Solstice. Waiting quietly in the darkness for the return of the light, contributing a little bit from each person to make the world bright, are important lessons to learn for life.
