Open House

Thanks to all of those who supported WSL’s first ever Open House event! We welcomed around 40 families to our campus, all of whom seemed to have enjoyed their experience getting to know Waldorf education as well as our amazing community. We look forward to sharing future events with even more residents of greater Louisville and Kentuckiana! If you have a friend or family member who you think may be interested in enrolling, contact larissa.nemeth@waldorflouisville.com for promotional materials you can pass along!

Solidarity With Ukraine

During times of war, it is often the most vulnerable populations who are forced to endure the most unthinkable hardships. Young children in Ukraine are currently under incredible stress, while also being forced out into cold weather conditions with their homes either under threat or destroyed.

Waldorf schools around the world are bastions of peace, believing most highly in the safeguarding of childhood. That’s why WSL is organizing a campaign to show our solidarity with the citizens of Ukraine, uniting around their national symbol and our school’s logo – the sunflower🌻

Our campaign is simple, but hopefully a powerful way we can all come together for those suffering in Ukraine.

Here is everything you need to know about our campaign:
~ For $5.00, all WSL parents/guardians and children are invited to paint or draw a sunflower postcard.

~ All proceeds from this campaign will go to Save The Children’s Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund which helps provide children and families with immediate aid, such as food, water, hygiene kits, psychosocial support and cash assistance.

~ The first 50 donors will receive a new WSL tote bag!
Postcards will be displayed on-campus until 4/1/2022. Afterwards, donors can either take the postcards home or we will send your postcard to the Sophia Steiner School in Kyiv.
~ When can we paint? Any time from 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM,

each Thursday in March (3/3, 3/10, 3/17, 3/24, 3/31). Just come to the WSL Lobby and we’ll get you set up!

*Can’t participate in person? Just email Madyson Haskins at madyson.haskins@waldorflouisville.com to reserve your postcard to complete at home.

Lost & Found

A lost and found area has been established! If you’re missing an item and would like to take a look at what’s been left behind on campus, please see a member of Administration to provide you with access.

Items remaining in the Lost & Found after Friday, April 15 will be donated to a local shelter ~ thanks for your understanding!

Guidelines for COVID-19 Prevention

Monk Elderberry

Elderberry syrup has been a staple in the Monk household for many years. When friends or family come down sick, Skylar’s mom, Alyssa (Class Bayne Parent), is quick to drop a jar of syrup on their doorstep. The Monk family uses elderberry syrup daily as an immune booster to prevent sickness in their home, and keep them feeling all around healthy.

It’s Alyssa’s hope that other WSL families can find the same peace and wellness her family has when having a healthy elixir like this on hand.

Please CLICK HERE  to read more about the benefits of elderberry syrup and CLICK HERE to submit an order for Monk Elderberry.

~ Syrup can be picked up on Mondays (anytime after 8:30 AM) in the WSL Lobby for families who submit + pay for their order by the preceding Friday (9:00 PM).
~ The 16oz jar is $25.00 | The 8oz jar is $16.00
~ The ingredients include: Elderberry, Echinacea, Rosehips, Cinnamon, Ginger, Clove, and Honey OR Agave
