We're Hiring!
Early Childhood Assistant Teachers
The Waldorf School of Louisville is hiring Early Childhood assistant teacher positions. The hours will be up to 30 hours/week. The assistant teacher works closely with and supports the lead teacher. We are seeking someone who is interested in working with young children ages 3-6 and their development, and who enjoys practical work, basic cooking, cleaning, ironing, etc. If you are interested in applying for a position, send your resume and a letter of interest to Angeline Green at angeline.green@
Practical Arts Teacher
The Practical Arts position focuses on planning and carrying out hands-on gardening, simple cooking and handicrafts activities with students in Grades classes as well as supervising daily recess periods. WSL will be settling into a new campus with ample opportunities for the development of perennial gardens, landscaping and other types of gardening and would like students to be a part of this process. Gardening experience is strongly desired. The ideal candidate should feel confident with classroom management and be able to hold classes with firmness, warmth, and joy. If you are interested in applying for a position, send your resume and a letter of interest to Angeline Green at angeline.green@
Movement and Games Teacher
The Movement and Games position teaches games and movement activities to grades 1-5, and athletics (volleyball, soccer, basketball, etc., and related skills) to middle schoolers. The position is very flexible in that the applicant brings his or her strengths to the children in each grade so what is offered may vary. Children should be “led” to further their physical abilities (balance, strength, quickness, catching and throwing, etc.), as well as teammates working cooperatively toward specific goals. In the lower grades, capacities such as cooperative play, physical growth and awareness, and moving intentionally, are stressed. Waldorf works with the physical and social being as well as the thinking being. All are equally important in a child’s development.
If you are interested in applying for a position, send your resume and a letter of interest to Angeline Green at angeline.green@
