Waldorf School of Louisville's Summer Camps
Come explore and play with Waldorf School of Louisville at our new location in St. Matthews, across from Seneca Park! Different themed weeks give campers the opportunity for discovery and delight as they take on new challenges and engage in familiar activities- the Waldorf way! Whether crafting, cooking, or exploring the outdoors, WSL Summer Camps offer fun with friends in a safe and educational environment.
2023 Summer Camps are being offered for children from age 4 to rising 8th graders.

When:
Full Day Camps: 8:00 am- 3:00 pm
Half Day Camps (only offered for select weeks): 8:00 am- 12:00 pm
Cost:
Full day camp: $295 per week
Supply fees will be indicated per each camp week and can be paid directly to the camp instructor.
Registration Deadline: 2 weeks prior to start of each camp week.
Snacks will be provided; children will bring their own lunch each day

Handwork and Crafts with Sra Rosa (Rising 2nd- Rising 6th) June 5-9
In this camp we will knit, crochet, weave and explore other fabric arts crafts - a traditional component of Waldorf education, and a much beloved one at that!. We will have plenty of breaks and outside time to play and eat lunch and snack together with friends. The goal is to be able to finish one project per day. Supply Fee: $20 Full Day

Craft & Play with Miss Cory (4 Year Olds- Rising 1st) June 5-9
Please join Ms. Cory and Ms. Kaiya for our Craft and Play Camp. Each morning the children will have plenty of time and space to explore, run, climb, swing, gather, laugh, and play. Summer songs, circle time, stories, and games will be woven in throughout the week. Afternoons will be spent creating the simple joys of outside fun through gardening, water play, bubbles, nature inspired crafts and caring for our yard and each other. A light, nourishing snack will be provided, as well as homemade fruit popsicles on Friday. Children should bring bedding for rest time (sheet, blanket, and pillow), a sun hat, sunscreen, bug spray, a change of clothes, a sack lunch, and water bottle. We look forward to sharing these beautiful sunshiny days with your children. Supply Fee: $5 Full Day

Nature Week with Olivia (Rising 1st & Up) June 5-9
Experience the season of summer. During this year’s nature camp, we will learn all about the world around us. Each day we will take nature walks, create crafts using the elements around us, and enjoy time outdoors. There will even be a visit to Big Rock during the week for some swimming fun! Full Day

Work and Play with Miss Evy (4 Year Olds- Rising 1st) June 5-9
For the child, the adult's work becomes the child's play. Their joy is to grow in the mastery of doing the things we do. For Miss Evy and Miss Elise, their joy is to do the work of preparing healthy snacks, tidying the room, folding the laundry, tending to the garden, cleaning and polishing the garden tools, spraying children with water, watching them run through the sprinkler and tie-dying. It is a delight to watch the children play around this work but when they come to join and embrace the adult's work, the joy is more complete! Full Day

Spanish Food & Culture with Sra. Rosa (Rising 2nd - Rising 6th) June 12-16
In this camp we will prepare and cook different Spanish recipes, like “tortilla de patatas”, “paella”, “salsa”, “guacamole”, “tacos”, “enchiladas”, etc. This will be very hands on and to the level of the children’s ages It will be lots of fun and for sure really tasty too! We will also sing some and learn about Spanish culture. We will also prepare our own lunch! Supply Fee: $25 Full Day

Mystery Week with Olivia (Rising 4-Rising 8th) June 26-30
Get a clue and sign up for Waldorf School’s mystery week today! Participate in a grand scavenger hunt, live action “Clue” game, and create an escape room experience that will help us answer the mystery of “Who Dunnit?”. Full Day

Clay Modelling- Mad Hatter Tea Party with Casey (Rising 2nd-Rising 8th) July 10-14
Children will learn various handbuilding skills throughout the week to construct a whimsical tea set. We will go on nature hikes and forage for plants to make home made teas. And of course, we will end the week with a mad hatter tea party! Finished tea sets will be picked up at a later date. Supply Fee: $10 Full Day

Movement & Rhythm Week With Olivia (Rising 1st- Rising 8th) July 17-21
Movement and rhythm week will focus on games, gymnastics, music, and poetry. We will have morning yoga sessions, free time to flip and dance, and we will also listen to and create music and poetry! Full Day

Math Camp with Sra. Rosa August 7-11
**THIS CAMP IS INTENDED FOR CURRENT WALDORF STUDENTS** Designed for students in the Waldorf Curriculum, this camp will feature math games and help students prepare for the upcoming academic year. HALF DAY: 9:00am-12:00pm (Rising 5th & 6th grade) HALF DAY: 12:30pm-3:30pm (Rising 7th & 8th grade)
